yes i have. it didnt really work for me. i just went through the manual install. the reason i did this is because i didnt want it to screw anything up...again

well guess it's still the best way. doesn't take as long as windows for me anyways. was wondering cause recently my suse, mandrake, & fedora core 4 distros all got scratched. found out after i formated my drive to start fresh with a different install. using knoppix right now from a live cd. should get my free Ubuntu discs today or tomorrow so i'll wait patiently.

u shouldve just got the ubuntu iso's and burned them urself. i mean, i do have the ubuntu cd's sitting 13.6 inches away from me. lol. ubuntu is a pretty quick install. takes about 5-10 minutes depending on how fast ur comp is. the 10 minutes i got with a 75MHz computer that was from like 1993 so im thinking it wont take ya that long. if you have any problems with it, let me know.

Mount the ISO to a virtual drive and it'll only take as long as it takes the HDD to read/write. :D
