Has anyone ever seen a weird Y connector. Specifically 2x 4pin female molex to single 3pin ATX.

In case anyone is wondering I am about to give up on my dream to make a fanbus as such I am going to buy one of the commercially available ones. All of which use 3pin male ATX connects and have less channels than I have fans to control (6+). Ive found a few controllers that will handle 18-20W@12v but of course...they dont have the freakin connectors.

If anyone has seen such a connector and remembers where you saw it please let me know.

Id also been tossing around the idea of building my own connectors (since thats not out of my skill range unlike the original project). Worst case if they are too expensive ill price the individual molex pins, connectors and female 3pin connectors.

Guess no one has seen such a connector hehe.

Im probably going to have to create my own, probably by ordering extra molex pins and connectors.

Is there any chance that a Y connector like this would result in a power drop to one or both of the fans connected to it?

Try cyberguys.com. They have cables and connectors for just about anything. Won't hurt to check.
