Hi Friends...

This is my first post, I have some questios, I hope you answer..

I've formated my computer, by using first copy of xp. Next, I've tried

to download PowerDVD, but when I was installing, it's asked to install

DirectX9, so I've brought from the certain cd but it asked to set it somewhere

so wher should I set DirectX 9???

Second, I want to upgrade xp to xp sp1. I've already had this file(sp1) but I didn't where should I set it to work?

Could you help me?

dx installer never asked me that
guess i would download dx from ms and try it that way

just update through windows updater, and the new DX9 from ms, as rude said

it asked when it already was installing ? wow thats more odd then when our programs ask
where to install when i clicked at uninstall :D i would download a new one and try again

If you went ahead and install Windows XP SP2, SP2 includes DX9 and several security enhancements!

You'd better download the offline installer rather than went to windowsupdate.........

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Do NOT get SP2. Get SP1. If you ahve a good antivirus and good spyware removal programs get SP1!!! SP2 sucks.... I cant run one gig of memory cuz of SP2 >.<

Yes, it's never asked you because it's already there but in my case
I's not had. In addition, downloading from ms, causing a long time, so I've found whose file to install it directly from USB.

Zefram actually I agree with azn_rebel99, I prefer XP for those reasons and other...

so...any suggestions
