i am a total noob when it comes to graphics and stuff...so bear with me on these really noobish questions

you have to dl the GTK+ runtime environment for gimp...i want to make backgrounds for some websites...will they be able to see them if they dont have the runtime?

yes the runtimes have nothing to do with the pictures
a picture is just a big ass'd array of pixels which are just dots and colour codes

if IE or the other browser support jpg gif or bmp or what ever you save as
it works

the runtimes are for the program called gimp
