I cut out an image using the pen tool. I turned it into a selection...then pasted it so i could add it to a new picture...but it is too big. How can i resize my pasted picture so it will fit the size i need it to in the background picture.

im new to photoshop

Dang noob, lol... Just use the arrow tool and make sure "show bounding boxes" is turned on. That should do it :)

If you have any photoshop questions I would be glad to answer them... I've been working professionally with photoshop for 5 years... and unprofessionally since I was 11 years old.

nataku i will definitely be hitting you up for some info when i get going with my stuff. want to try and take some of my old graf art stuff and use photoshop to get em' looking all 3d and stuff.

one quick question is if 1.5gb of ram is enough for now? also should i have photoshop on a seperate physical hard drive to speed up things. i'm getting into encoding/editing photos and more and i'm reading up on what system specs i should basically focus on.

I only recently switched from 512 to 1g... But... i've heard that cs2 is a resource beast, so we will see.

check out my stuff if you want some ideas.
