reserve your excitement until it is proven to be a solid browser. we all know how many holes there are in the current IE. main reason Firefox is doing so well. along with tabbed browsing and other things. let us know how it performs. some screenshots of features and just plane looks would be nice too.

dude, ive been using ie7 for 3 months now...its nothing special. its the same as ie 6 except with tabbed browsing. and it pisses me off that you cant move the bars, like the icon bar, menu bar, that stuff.

Yeah I stumbled across the IE7 beta a while ago. The tabbed browsing implementation is somewhat clunky I thought. I am still using Firefox, but I don't think that was ever in jeopardy.

The WinFS file system beta is out there as well. WinFS is supposed to be a part of Vista, but the beta will work with WindowsXP. I haven't been rave enough to give it a try yet though. I might have to get Windows into a partition and see how it goes.

what reasons do people really have for being exited about newer versions of IE which dont offer anything new which the other browsers have not had for ages ?

is it that people find IE more secure ?
because people trust MS more?
because people think it intergrates better with windows ?
because people like the logo ?
because people visit lots of sites which are written directly to IE and can look or on other browser or dont work with them?

Excited over Vista? I don't see why.

What's making me excited (not running into walls) is Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Kick ass.

IE7 is a Beta and should be treated as one. All of the features aren't there yet, and if you run other programs that rely on IE it screws them all up.

Windows Vista is going to be awsome. I am very excited about it as well.
