Ok im sick of the loud fans on my pc so i did some serching and found some silenX fans i would need 2x120mm (at 58cfm at 14dBA) and 1x80mm (28cfm at 14dBA) and figured while im at it get a NV silencer 5 but all this comes out to about $80-90. Im i crazy to spend that much on just fans?

Going from a loud pc to a quiet one is amazing. For some time I had a very loud heatsink and fan on my athlon xp, and then I got a quiet one, and it was well worth it. I don't think your crazy, but those loud fans could make you go crazy.

Well for me, don't really care about noise. Since I've slept in the same room as the rig for the past five years, I can't sleep without the noise from the fans. I'm running six 80mm fans that are supposed to be like 34 dBa each. I don't know how loud it is exactly, but I can still hear the air conditioner over the rig, so it can't be too bad.
There is a limit though. I was messing with a second rig that I pulled out of the trash pile at my dad's work, and it had an Athlon 1333, and the HSF on it was only a 60mm fan, but it was something like 8000rpm. I couldn't hear myself talk over that...that's an example of too loud.
Oh, and I get the cheapest of the cheap fans, too. I get the ones on Newegg where if you buy 10 or more, they're $0.99USD with free shipping. :D
Where you found those 120mm with 58cfm @ 14dba?

Look at Nexus' Fans too. I have their 80mm fans. They are very quiet. I run them at 7v so they make no noise at all.
