To make a very loooong story short.

I have a complete new system:

Mach Speed http://machspeed.com/v_v881das.htm ---New
AMD 3000+---New
Cooler Master all Copper Heat sink---New
1 GB Corsair DDR (333) Dual Channel---New
WD SATA Raptor HD (10,000 RPM)--New
PNY nVidia 5700LE AGP 8x---From previous system but--New
Samsung DVDrw----New

Antec 400w PS---Original system
Floppy---Original system
Fans---Original System

XP Home setup problem:

I Can boot off the CD---F6, Load install files, Load Via Mobo Sata driver, Windows starts, I tried to format the Disk, but it would stop @ 20%.

I used the WD Lifeguard utilites to write 0's to the drive, test it, and then format it.

Once again--F6, Load install files, Load Via Mobo Sata driver, Windows starts, I leave the file system intact (because I formated it with the WD Utility), It starts to copy files and just it just stops ON RANDOM FILES!! WTF!

Rinse Repeat....same issues. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the Help/Advice.

Oddly a new power supply fixed my issues!!?? How odd. I always thought power supplies either worked or they didn't. Obviously some grey area there. It must not have been supplying the right amount of power to the devices that needed it.

Good luck all!

Nah if they feed the wrong voltages or dirty power that can wreak havoc.
