"Finalize CD" and an RW question

I was wondering if you click the "finalize CD (no further writing possible)" option in Nero (would be something similar to "close CD" for other programs) with a CD-RW disk, would that keep you from going back and erasing it later? RWs are still slightly pricey (for me) to test one and find out.

no you can always blank the cd-rw or dvd-rw later on
it mean you can do multisession on the cd as in write on it without blanking it
you mainly use multisission on cd-r's because thats the only way you can
write on them after you have written on them the first time
