If EVER there was a clear sign that Americans wouldn't recognise English humour and sarcasm if it bit them on the arse it's this.

That because, America have those free speech stuff, so any small cases are reported and heck, they are made into something big by the media......
Country like China, India, Russia, etc., they will try to cover up some of the crime and in a country where media is controlled by the government (china), it would make sense why they have lower crime rates :p
um the media might not be controlled by the government in the great US of A but hell the government is stil in charge. if you ever payed attention back in the day when the first decapetation video came out, the media wasn't allowed to post it because the pentagon interfered. i'm not exactly sure why they did, but from what i've read on other sites apparently the dude was wearing an american prison unifrom that the prisoners in iraq were forced to wear, and all the "terrorists" were standing in military ways. i don't remember what it was called.
either way i highly doubt the media is completely free in america, i mean why would the daily show all of a sudden call itself fake news even do most of their actual news are real, with a bit of comedy in the mix. and they've had plenty of politicians on their show aswell.

maybe its because English people arent funny....
i know its carcastic, but if you post that article up somewhere as the real thing americans will believe it. why? because there is a lot of F*CKED up sh1t going on, one example being that woman cutting a baby out of some other womans stomach and trying to steal it. its way more out there then bare knuckle boxing, yet its true. remember carcasm is pretty hard to notice on the internet.

dude i wrote it this morning, i'm no morning person, and since when does spelling matter? i wasn't aware of that. and you can't judge someone from a different country on what they do and don't believe. don't get me wrong, i dont mind you having a laugh over it, but why don't you come over here and see what its like. i've seen 4 people die over a chicken wing back in michigan, no i'm not being sarcastic. so if you believe women bare knuckle boxing is so strange, then all i have to say to you is you have not lived my friend, you have not lived.

yea i also love monty and mr bean, man i loved mr bean but benny hill was awsome when i was growing up. my favorite type of comedy seems to be standup, you know the stuff that you can relate to your own life, true things explained in a different light. irony at its best.

first off not to many americans i've met even down in florida use "y'all".
secondly what we're trying to tell you is there is so much weird crap out there this article does not stand out, and since it is TEXT it lacks emotion and therefore it is next to impossible for the average joe or pretty much anyone else to see the difference between a real article and a "sarcastic" one.
no offense but try to get this trough your skull, even do you told us it was sarcastic, i still don't see the sarcasm in it. looks to me just like every other article.
anywhay whatever happens, i'm gonna shut up about this now. i don't want to go to far and say something nice about America.

That's the point of this thread!!!!!!! Every brit who I've shown those articles too has practically pissed themselves laughing.
I'm not being offensive to Americans - most of the Americans I've met are really nice!
I was simply pointing out the difference in humour. Unfortunately it seems the point of my argument is more subtle than the sarcasm involved.

the truth is the enlish had enough tea for 2 months, and the americans had no skillz. once the enlish ran outa tea they gtfo. i mean common, no tea at dinner time is just ludicrous.
i get the whole deal man. i grew up on "alternative" comedy, music, ideas, etc. my dad had satallite tv when i was 10. so yeah, i was introduced to alot of things....many late at night but that's another thread.
yep the wonders of satellite TV. god i miss the good ol days of 1998-2003. (no i din't fail highschool, we had something called OAC back then)
