Help Internet explorer ver 6 will not download

Hi when I surf certain sites they open very late and in between a message pops up "this site requires installation of Macromedia player" after that a security dialoge box opens asking my permission to install the required player. After I select Yes the explorer window closes.Can anyone help me fix this issue?

Go to Macromedia's site and try getting it installed from there.
