I have changed the motherboard battery several times because of a persistent problem. The time always stops at the point where I turn off my computer. Before, no problem with the CMOS settings. The new batteries will only last for about one week. Now, the time gets back to Jan 1, 2003 and the default settings of the CMOS is loaded. Do I need to adjust anything or is it the motherboard that needs to be replaced? Please help.
Also, I am using a motherboard that supports DDR333 with a memory of DDR400. Will this destroy my system?

those batts last a long time, even if the PC doesnt have a PSU plugged in

u might wanna check with CPU-Z to see if the rams running at proper timings

even then this shouldnt drain the battery ...

your memory is fine... it will only allow more overclocking room.... dont change it..

your mabo MUST have a problem... a new batteries is suppose to hold at leat 7 to 10 years...

if the mobo is 333 then... it will run at 333 even if you put ddr 533.... it doesn't matter... and it has no relation with the batterie...
