Hi all, you can see what I'm cooling with in my sig.

Anyways, everything was going good (idle at 35-38C) and then for some odd reason my temps have raised dramatically.

I have checked the fans and HS back and forth to no avail; it's running like it usually does. Now my temps are at about 45C idle!

I tried splicing some wires to get my CM on the 12v line to spin faster than the low 1500 RPM at does by default, but I can't get it to move any faster.

Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Edit: I've noticed my HDD's are really heating up too! 44C on average.

It seems when I was cleaning the fan earlier that it may have been off center on reinstall. I straightened it up and now I'm running at my usual 35C.

I still want to know how to get this damn fan to spin faster though.

My fan came with like 3 different ways to control the speed...one to put in a 3 1/2" bay, one you could put in a PCI port and one that you put between the pcu and heatsink that did it automaticly...I put the one in the PCI slot and it runs to the fan and I can run it up to 5500rpms..although it gets incrdibly loud..it is nice right around 3000rpms..never going about 35c idle....sorry I know this doesnt help you lol.

if the fan spins at 1500rpm on 12v

it spins on 1500rpm on 12v, u cant speed it up

u could try a higher voltage, but this overheats the fan and will lower its lifespan
