remote desktop connection help

i have two compu and id like to make some p2p on the lowest one. So if i use remote desktop connection, can i close my good compu without loging off on the bad one. How can i leave remote desktop without closing it? oyu know what i mean?

I only have one screen and no use to buy a switchbox.thx
