Does anyone have the pin out diagram for the USB header connector on the Dell Dimension E510 motherboard. I'm trying to connect a USB device to the motherboard. Thanks in advance for your help...ey88

I looked here and it was no help at all..

http://search.dell.com/results.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&cat=all&cs=&k=Dimension+E510+card+reader&img=False&sum=True&ssum=False&qmp=50&p=1&eh=NoEvent&rrr=False&subcat=&snpsb=K&snpsd=D&ddate=false&ddays=&df=True&usf=info

You may have to call the support number and ask for someone other than the regular "look at the flashcards and look busy" support tech..

There is a nice picture of the USB header configuration just a little ways down this page... http://www.frontx.com/cpx108_2.html

Stop looking....the same "Dude" who used to advertise the Dell must have built them as well....there are no header pins....none...nowhere....nada.....you have to buy an adapter cable that snakes out through a rear port to the USB port and pretends to be a USB header connection.....no idea why they did this....saving money probably but I found out about this trying to install a front panel card reader with USB ports and ran into the same problem......real pain in the ass....it's why I now buy no name computers.

it depends on the motherboard

usb headers are pretty common on mobos

older ones dont have them though
