ok well for somereason the temp always stays the same regardless of the speed setting (From 900 to 1700)

What could the problem be? it's staying around 36 while doing the normal surfing, listning to music but it jumps to 45-50 while gaming. It's a little too hot for me not to be nervous.

Try re-applying the thermal paste. Those temperatures are pretty low given todays standards. You don't have to worry unless you start breaking 60C.

yeh

10 degrees isnt unheard of

but i would try re-applying your thermal paste anyway

also that thing is so big the fan speed prolly wont afftect it more then a degree or 2

when your idling theres not alot of heat to deal with

I have the same cooler and the fan speed change doesn't do much. My temps are 33 at idle and about 42 at load. Your temps are not bad.

Do you have good exhaust for your case? If not, then the same warm air could be recirculating.

It wasnt sitting properly on the CPU, so after I fixed it I was 28 on idle and 35 on loads. Now with my pc overclocked to 2.6ghz it's 34 idle 43 on load. :D

Circulation is not a problem I have an antec P180 case and theres 2 120mm fans pushing that air out.

Yeah, you would be suprised of the efficiency of the Antec P180 case with the individual compartments. I have 4 120mm fans in mine. 2x Front(Intake) 1x Top~Rear(Exhaust) 1x Rear(Exhaust) and the air really moves through there. My CPU temps are 20~34 C , but I noticed the difference after putting the 2 extra fans in. :D I can put my hand back behind the case near the PS exhaust vent and I feel no heat at all coming through... Pretty sweet, but suprised me.

what was your temp differences when you putthe 2 120mm fans in the front? how many degrees did your temps drop? I have an extra 120mm that I could pop in if it's worth it.

It really depends on the ambients temperature in the room your comp. is in also. Dust accumulation is also a big factor in the ratio.

I like it descently cool in the house 65-67F, case temps were ~70-85F before and now I am reading teperatures of ~65-75 at full load...:D
