Task manager fly off

Hi.
Why does my task manager just comes and disapear quickly when i press crt alt del. i just cant open it. and the same is for the registry window.

virus or spyware

I'm having similar problems with Ace2, but for me it's with IE (any version, I've tried reinstalling it etc, even stuck IE7B2 on there) and .VBS scripts (they refuse to execute). File associations are A-OK in the reg and in Winblows. No virii, no spyware, no IE add-ons... I can't explain it.

Personally I'd advise a repair install of XP, simply because I don't have a clue what's causing it. Of course do virus scans and malware scans first, and don't just rely on a single tool for each check either. But if you wind up with no visible cause as I did, then... *shrug*... repair install and hope it works?
