Online Meeting & Presentation
Hi.
How can I hold an online meeting/presentation with some 10 to 50 people?
Each person can talk with each other by text or audio.
One can publish its screen online (while doing its presentation), so other members can watch at the same screen at their own computer.
They can listen to what the presenter says.
Do you know if there is/are any (combination of) software which can achieve this?
If it can't be done by freeware, then tell me any shareware.
Thanks a lot.
you could set up a streeming presentation.
you can use windows media encoder to broadcast from a camcorder with the presenter or screen which anyone can dial in to the url using.
kinda like a webcam but anyone you tell hte address to can at the same time
then i suggest something like msn messenger, set up a conversation in hat and add everyone. or something called Teamspeak gamers use

This sounds interesting.
Do you know if there's a step-by-step guide which teaches me how to set up a presentation?

I think ICQ, MSN can do room chatting.
there isnt a step by step guide as such, more i kinda messed about and tried this.
MSN messenger is easy to set up that part. for encoder download it from microsoft.com.then you just start a wizzard for life streaming. you plug camcorder or webcam in first and it streams that on the fly over the internet. you just hand out the IP address for the streaming. then people load up windows media player. goto file open url. then punch it in and it dials in. there is a delay though from capture to encode to actually viewing it. but thats understandable in a way as its not a direct conection to one person

One question.
Is there any (hardware) requirement to run such a online presentation?
I wonder if the presenter needs much bandwidth / CPU / RAM in order to deliver the presentation fluently.
If so, at least how much for every 10 persons (rule of thumb)?
