I want to run a forum. I would like to know the best free webhosting for phpbb forums. Thank you.

generally you will not find any free hosts that provide support for phpBB , perl, cgi and so on.

i would suggest buying a domain and space ... i am happy with ipowerweb.com myself been using them for years now never had one problem.

Hosting is rather cheap anyway nowadays, the best solution is to buy you own as Pimpin' says. Although, I did get a forum with free hosting for one site I designed. There are loads of different free hosts for phpBB forums, but you will have to live with adverts on the forums in pretty prominent places. If you set up the stylesheets well though, this isn't too much of a problem (as long as you're not using 15" monitors or anything like that!)

Just google something like "free forum hosting" for a list of hosts. The one I used was at http://invisionfree.com, and just placed a banner ad near the top of the page. This site uses the Invision Power Board forum software though... which works fine. I'm not a fan of phpBB anyway.
