Yahoo! tries to send you the most relevant offers based on your Yahoo! Account Information, interests, and what you use on Yahoo!. Yahoo! uses web beacons (http://privacy.yahoo.com/privacy/uk/pixels/details.html) in HTML-based email, including this message. To learn more about Yahoo!'s use of personal information please read our Privacy Policy (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/mail/directmail/281564/*http://privacy.yahoo.com/privacy/uk/index.html). If you have previously unsubscribed from Yahoo!, but have received this mailing, please note that it takes approximately five business days to process your request. For further assistance with unsubscribing, you may contact a Yahoo! representative by email by clicking here (mailto:uk-delivers@cc.yahoo-inc.com).
OK so web beacons looks bad, lets see what that does
Yahoo! uses web beacons to conduct research on behalf of certain partners on their web sites.
So basically they use a tracking cookie, and follow your movements on the net, who knows who "certain partners" are, and they probably get the data from everywhere, and filter it out, who knows who looks at it first
and THEN, on top of that, if you want to get rid of the spam email they send you, you can unsubscribe
Instead of unsubscribing completely, you can reduce this to receive a maximum of one marketing communication a week. Please note that if you’re a Yahoo! Mail user and you forward your mail to another email address or use another email programme (e.g Eudora, Outlook) to read your mail, this will no longer work if you unsubscribe.
So if you want to stop getting the spam, you cant receive emails, or forward emails without using their crappy website - WTF !!!!!
I'm really pissed off about this, and then on top of that, to make it look better they say
No – just reduce the number of marketing communications to one a week
So you can still get spam once a week, instead of every other day or something
