I personally think it is better for normal use but if your doing much web design then Firefox is better I find as it has a few extensions that are very handy.

I like Opera over any other browser I've used. Opera 9 has a few added features that are useless. If you use torrents Opera will open them in the transfer tab for mynimalistic torrent software. I found it too simple and not to my liking so I disabled it. Opera 9 also has some usless things called Widgets. Most of them are all clocks and sports tickers to add to your desktop to slow things up. I never used them. Once you get used to it, you'll love it.

Yeah but like I say if you design websites then the web deleloper toolbar rocks and make common tasks very easy.

But for your normal user go ahead and use Opera it is better.

Aslong as you dont use IE (Or Netscape) then your doing well. ;)

i have noticed that even with pop up blocker they still get through. its so damn annoying. i hate those ones where you have no choice cause even if you close it down it opens yet another window and starts scanning ure system!

IE Beta 7 so far rocks. Tabs, blocking, higher security, and since I'm not a newb dufus I've got update AV and antispyware running and carefully watching which sites I visit and don't click willynilly.

Before this I was using Firefox exclusively and that too rocked and you can't beat the army of extensions for it. It's mandatory for saving flash and streaming wmv/mov videos online from various sites with all the extensions for doing so.

I gave up on Opera years ago due to the limitations of the free version and the almost OS/2-Amiga mentality of the design. IOW, make it just counterintuitive enough to be different in a snarkily bothersome way.
