ICS and Zone Alarm Not Working !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi wondering if i could get someone help.

I have ics installed as ive linked to computers via a crossover cable. everything works fine using windows firewall but as soon as i installed zone alarm pro back on both computers it doesnt work. i looked everywhere including the zone alarm site for a solution but everyones solutions dont work or it will work for a bit and after a reboot bam its not working again.

I was wondering if any of you have had the same problem and can help or if anyone can suggest an alternative (not norton) and maybe help me set up an alternative.

please dont say get a router as i broke at the moment

yeah as you know, zone alarm is a p.o.s. used to be good, but it just sucks now. i wouldve suggested sygate, but apparently it got bought by norton and has gone bye bye now. that sucks.
