Aup
I have just got Oblivion but it keeps crashing after a few mins of playing.
I have downloaded a patch for the game no joy.
I have set video card to all standard setting no joy and even lowered the auto setting in the game from ultra high to just high.
I play Battlefield 2 on all its highest settings with AA and AF on max settings no probs same with Need for Speed Most Wanted.
Nothing has made it better, I have had an error saying it was cos of a problem with the graphics card driver.
Just wondering has anybody had the same problem?
Thanx John
Have you tried another graphics card driver?

Na I dont know wether to try an older one but that just seems wrong I am using the latest 6.7.
I have tryed uninstalling the whole of the catalyst control center and driver and reinstalling again but no joy.
good luck man, thats how mine was forever and then it just started working normally one day. i reformatted, reinstalled and removed any video card overclocking i had on and it seemed to help me. have u done any reg. tweaks to your comp lately?

Na no reg tweeks lateyly but the game is brnd new today so I have only just found I have a problem somewhere. :(
I have now found that Need for Speed most wanted is also crashing now too only now and then though not like Oblivion which does it within a minute of playing.
Yeah tryed it with no overclocking still have the same problem. Also with setting all down low still the same problem. :(
I am starting to understand why people moan about ATI drivers so much now.

Well I found out what was causing it.
It was my system overclock once I removed it and put my settings to defaut it works fine, I managed to get it upto 4.0Ghz and it still work fine in the end.
Strange though as it kept saying it was a video driver error and I was ably to run 2 instances of prime 95 all night at the 4.4Ghz overclock so I thought it was stable enough.
Oh well at least I got the game working and it only means dropping to 4.0Ghz which I can live with. As expected it is running video card settings all on max and ingame settings all on max at a res 1280x1024 fine now.
it prob had more to do with the memory somehow. i know oblivion beats your ram up pretty bad and now that i think about it, OCing my mem was my prob in the first place when i first got the game and it kept crashing. enjoy Oblivion because it is pretty sweet ass sweet and let me tell u leveling up from like 3-6 seemed like it took forever. lol
