Some friends and I are getting together tonight to test... to test something I built; and needless to say someone will be taking video of this event on a digicam.
Once I have said video; I want to add a song playing in the background - not so that it overwrites the original audio; but so that you can hear what's going on in the scene; and have the music playing as well.
I don't quite know how to do it. I'd like to use Virtualdub; but if there are any other (preferably free) programs that someone knows how to do it in; I'm open to suggestions.
I'm pretty sure windows movie maker will allow you to do that. I wanna see a video of you blowing **** up, or riding some kind of vehicle into a wall or w/e, so upload the vid for us.

heh heh heh... i figured out a way to do it without installing any new software... just separate the video from audio track and decode audio as .wav, then i'm just gonna use windblows sound recorder to splice/merge/whatever the audios; then just re-multiplex the video/audio data to one file.
i actually "finished" this thing i was going to "test" a while ago (like over a year ago!) but recently revived the project and re-assembled the pieces because a few friends wanted to see her in action.
Unfortunately once I had her all together on monday; i realized that i had punctured a vital part of the device accidentally while i was drilling a hole for a much-needed addition to this project. After patching said hole with a combination of expansion foam and 1:1 polymer resin; i brought it up to pressure; and it sprung a leak in a very hard-to-reach place.
I'm going down to the lab to work on fixing that leak right now; if it doesnt spring any new ones when i'm hydrotesting it; i'll probably actually get some video footage tommorow night - so look forward to seeing 3-4 minutes of pure awesomeness somewhere around sunday afternoon.
(btw if anyone saw the thread a while back where i posted the video of me blowing up the graphics card... this is a similiar endevour; however we ran out of m80's a long time ago so don't plan on seeing any explosions)
