Microsoft Vista cracked

The whole cycle starts again

By Nick Farrell: Thursday 16 November 2006, 06:58
DESPITE Microsoft's anti-piracy measures, cracked copies of its Vista operating system are already available on torrent sites, it's claimed.

One cracked version is called VistaBillGates and comes with a product key, and an "activation crack" that bypasses Vole's activation process.

Apparently Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise Edition has also been cracked. So far Microsoft has refused to comment about hacks, but claims it is working hard to stop pirates.

Apparently the weapon it will use is software that deactivates pirated copies of Windows Vista by sending a patch through Windows Update that can invalidate certain product keys.

No doubt the pirates have already worked their way around that one and it will only be countless legitimate Vista users who will find themselves suffering in the crossfire between Vole and the pirates.

Lets face it - the software/OS will be crack eventually, and i'd be glad if Microsoft remove this genuine advantage crap.
Why genuine user have to suffer because microsoft wanted to combat piracy?

As a rule of thumb No company/Bank would use an encryption system that they cannot or cant be cracked in some way. The ideal situation is to use one that is extreemly hard and out of the hands of most hackers and usersbut for teh elite hackers companys employ to test their defences.

You would just not use a systemthat you yourself cannot crack because if someone else does you dont know how to combat it.

So as far as things go im sure microsoft could already crack their product because thats how they would have developed it. But eventually everything can be reversed/ decompiled to find out a work around.....

As inevitable as death and taxes.

Microsoft really needs to develope a totally new OS from the ground up. Windows is too much of a patchwork project.

I suspect that will be something they are working on. But for something like that surly it will take along time? Maybe the windows that have been coming out is patchups to keep products coming out while they work on a new ground up one?

Also, If they made a new windows from the ground up, code restructuring. The general windows hackers and crackers would have to re learn all over again if microsoft through about code layout as much as the users view on the OS.

Maybe they could kind of rebrand and name in the process to difirentiate it? Like a newly named OS totally new very inovative because apart from vistas "new look" and DX10 support i dont see much of a new way to do things. Its just been re-organized, shuffled about and it annoyed me lol. So it will take a bit of geting used to but thats it really.

Surly the hardware of a computer is limited to the OS and how it is optimized?? Like hard drive performance if you have a new ground up OS maybe the way it sorts and scheduals data transfers could be speeded up like Core 2's out of order instruction fetching. Maybe something like that approach and other technologys combined in the software level could help improve Software/Hardware comunication

yeah i read that somewere. its not a true crack. they just rewrite some files so you could use the beta key codes.

lol but you can do that anyways lol. i mean its 10 or 12 month valid for beta. so ud have to format at least once in that time.
