first off, whenever i start trillian, vista for some reason reverts to vista basic color scheme from aero. how the heck do i fix that?
secondly, whenever i open an new window, or switch tabs in firefox, it looks as if the window is like coming down from the top. i dont really know how to explain it other than saying it seems as though its like a blinding down effect type thing. no idea why its happening, but its happening in every window in vista. its really fricken annoying, so yeah, if someone can help me get this to stop, id be very greatfull.
oh and one more thing, how do i get the video wallpapers in vista? i have ultimate so i know i can do it.
edit: nevermind i got it. updating windows worked...stupid thing.

ok new problem, i went into the sound options in vista, and under recording, accidentally deleted my mic inputs from there, and now my mic will not work at all with vista. anyone got any suggestions on this one?

well, i disabled my mic, and uhh....i seem to be in the same boat as you now. it doesnt even show in device manager as a hidden device...i cant seem to get into the internal KB right now, so let me get back to you on that
did you get dreamscene working? or just firefox and trillian?

heh atleast im not the only one who deleted their mic:-) the reason i did it was because it wouldnt shut the hell up with going through my speakers. me and this girl were watching something and everytime i said something i just like got blasted in my face so i got pissed off and just said f!ck it. why would they let you delete something like that anyways? stupid microsoft. dont they know i need protection from EVERYTHING?!?!?
but yeah, i got dreamscene working after another update. getting info from microsoft is like trying to coax a rottweiler with a ball of lint. just doesnt work. took me awhile but i got that working along with firefox and trillian.

if you ran windows update there woulda been a compatibility update, thats probly what fixed firefox and trillian. dreamscene is in the ultimate extras
as far as the mic goes, im still not sure, its looking kinda technical

hmmmm maybe if i uninstalled my sound card drivers and reinstalled them that would do the trick?

it might, i tried to disable and re-enable, but i doubt that has half the same effect
theres no internal articles about it though. not even a solution object or a case that came up for the same issue, im sure youre not the first to have done that
one thing i noticed that really got to me, was my bluetooth mouse worked in teh vista setup, but not once it was installed. i could navigate to the bluetooth panel to add it, but i couldnt tab to the list of devices detected, i had to plug in another mouse. not that thats relevant or anything
