FTP issues

I've got some issues trying to upload files over FTP. I can upload files that are 1024 bytes or smaller, but any time I try anything over that, the upload times out. I've tried both filezilla and cuteFTP and come up with the same problems.

I've also opened the ports in both Windows firewall and my router firewall. Also, switching passive mode on and off does not make a difference.

I'm running XP Pro and a Linksys WAP & Router (two separate units).

I've talked to the person running the server and he has never heard of this problem before. Others can upload larger files no problem. I'm inclined to think that the problem is on my end, but cannot figure out if it is software or hardware.

If anybody has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

Have you had this problem all along or has it been fine and just started limiting your uploads?

This is really the first time that I have used ftp in a long time, so I don't know what it was like before.
