I have used nLite which is a really cool slipstreaming software, to make slipstreamed disks of XP + SP2. This really cool utility also allows you to integrate all the hotfixes, security updates and patches, latest drivers like SATA drivers...etc. I just did one this weekend, including some nVidia drivers, and the size of the slipstreamed disk increased to nearly 680 Mb.
I was lucky to be able to burn a bootable disk onto a 700 mb capacity
CD.

I was wondering, does anyone know, if I burned this to a bootable DVD, would it not boot properly? All of the articles I have read call for using a CD for slipstreaming. I haven't a clue as to whether or not anyone has ever tried it using a DVD before.

Thanks for the feedback, in advance - Jim

Should work as DVD. I've done it with Media Center (combined the 2 CDs).

it should work just the same. but nlite can repackage cab files to keep the size within 680mb, so i don't know why you'd need to. i used nlite to make a disc with all my drivers, sp2, hotfixes to date, and IE7 and it fit on a cd
