bios

hi guys
my bios crashed. i was updating bios when windows started download. win finished and asked to restart computer without thinking i did and bios crashed now computer doesnt see screen i thought first it was screencard but screencard works motherboard doesnt. motherboard is abit fatility for am 2 processor.

OUCH!! First try and reset your bios settings.(there should be a jumber or even a button you can use. If that doesnt work, try and flash your bios.(Download your bios version in floppy...go in dos(Normally there is a bios recovery key you can press to start the bios-upload. Just have a search on the internet) If that doesnt work......How old is your Motherboard? ... If its still under warranty, send it back. I its not under warranty. Get in contact with the manufacturer, and see what they can you for you. GOOD-LUCK;)

That won't work, his BIOS is fubared, can't even go into DOS. You need either another IDENTICAL mobo, take out that BIOS chip, put it in your mobo, boot into BIOS, hotswap the BIOS chips, and then save & exit. Should burn the new BIOS onto the old chip. Either that or send it back to ABIT.

i swapped chip was playing around last night but had to get expert in to hotswap will see what happens anyway i bought another mobo anyway asus 32 sli.... Its just i liked the fatility from abit.
