View Full Version : Office 2007
Ok, so I have Microsoft Office 2007 and I was wondering how I make the default save format as .doc instead of .docx. I always have to go down to the dropdown box and change it >.<
As far as I know, you have to go File > Save As > Office 97-2003 Document when you want to save it as a .doc or .xls or .ppt or whatever.
I don't know of a way to have it save to .doc as default. Doing so would negate some features of Word 2007, which is why they want you to save it as .docx by default.
... I think.

Insert a row between the two you want separated or create a new table.

You're right about that. The new features of Office 2007 allow you to migrate your work through .xml files and the such. That's why the .x is on the end of the file extension ... and beware that SP1 is already out for Office 2007 ... a whooping 198MB file!
well ya, but i'm a student so if i need to email stuff to teachers or classmates, which i do a lot, they won't be able to read it.

I would be surprised if the teachers didn't have the latest versions of Word and Excel ... most do ... but the new Word will allow you to save the documents in the earlier formats as well ... so you're okay ... I should know, cause I am still a student ... :p
