View Full Version : New Posts question :(
okay so i have pretty much just stop coming here all together and one of the main reasons reared its head again today. since i dont refresh my page every 2 minutes basically, i get logged off. well since i havent been here in forever there were lots of 'new' posts i wanted to read but since it logs me off i then basically have to go thru EVERY thread, which i rather just close my browser. anyone have a way around this or is it simply just not coming here anymore?
i feel like i am leaving a gf i have been dating for the last 2 yrs, this sucks but PCstats just seems to be getting more lame everyday. what is the deal i am saddened :(
Unfortunately, I only get 25 listings for New Posts per page but I will leave that up and open in a new tab (using IE7, stop laughing) by right clicking on the link. I'm sure you can do the same with firefox or opera. That way you always have the list up to go to.
I don't know if this will help you or not, put that's how i deal with the fast Log-Out timing. That and trying to remember to copy all the text I babble on here before I click submit... My shot posts are usually cause I dont want to type whatever all over again. :)

wow thats really strange. i literally stay logged into pcstats for months at a time. i dont think ive manually logged in for at least 3 months, and im here like every other hour. and yeah, i do have the forums and firefox remembering my password. my guess is thats the reason.

I'm signed in all the time with Opera. Running an anti-spyware program?

if you log in to pcstats and go to usercp and then edit options
there is the section thread display options and in this section you will find default thread age cut off. You can adjust the amount of time in which you wish new threads to be displayed over. Select two days - this will give you two days of threads. So if you get logged off for whatever reason just simply log back in and you will still have two days of threads unread. if youre not planning to visit the stats in a while then you can adjust the thread age cut off upto 100 days.
So lets say for example you havent visited pcstats for two days. CHnage the options to two days then click on the threads youd like to view. It will display only the threads from two days. You will still have to go through all the threads but at least the ones which have been replied to in while you were away will be the ONLY ones there!
