Anybody use any hardware that mounts in the front bay that monitors temps such as the CPU-graphics card etc? Not really a fan control, just something I can monitor my temps without using a software. I want to be able to keep an eye on it while gaming since I on about 3 to 4 hours at a time.:-
Suggest something?
Ultra Products made a good one that I used to use called the Fan Commander.
you would be better with a program called coretemp. Once the program is started a txt log will be placed on your desktop. This will update every second - which can be customized. It will also give you real time temperature display in the task bar.
Other than that there isnt much that will do that out of the box. Most fan controllers come with 4 temperature sensor probes which will enable you to place them on the areas which you would like to monitor. Usesless if you want to measure CPU and GPU temps.
this http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=458862 will display almost anything such as system temps etc.

Scythe recently released this really nice looking one:
http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/acc/028/km01_detail.html
Shows 4 temperature sensors (you place them where you want) and the RPMs of the 4 fans which you can control the speed of.
Nothing that I'm aware of will directly read your Core Temps/GPU Diode. Unless you have like a G15 keyboard with the LCD screen on it and the according plugins or whatever to make it show that kind of information.

that look slick! I want to see one tap into the build in temp sensors though so I don't have to mount it's own sensors in places... you know?
