http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2008-02-26-guns-cover_N.htm

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

Seems pretty cut and dry.

The shooting in school and colleges changes it all :p

Anyway, psychopath is going to get a deadly weapon one way or another - we had a kid who ran amok and swing a machete around his school. It was a total mayhem. Government cover ups helps to conceal this crap :p

So yeah, no guns, we'll see other assortment of deadly weapons used in school massacre. IED - now that's a new favorites as its cheap and deadly

I can speak from a position of gun user's rights because I hunt. I love my firearms, though I probably don't sleep with one like DoK does ... :p ... and I do not need the government telling me what guns I can have and what guns I can't ... because if they can do that, then they could easily say I can't have any ... Nope, the 2nd Amendment is perfect the way it is and I don't think there should be any gerry-mandering with it ...
Those people who believe that gun control is the answer are completely wrong. Period!! Here in Alaska, for the most part, there is not a lot of individual gun violence because here we have concealed gun permitting ... no bad guy is gonna risk messing with someone who might have a gun to protect themselves or their property. I know that if I was going to use a gun on someone, I'd think twice about it if I thought the other person would shoot back. The only time I hear about gun violence is like in Anchorage and it usually is between gangs ... now there I would hope they just shoot each other and that would be the end of it, but that's not the case ... innocent people get caught in the crossfire and that's what makes the politicians mad.

So they have to curb the violence by trying to take the guns out of circulation by banning their existence. But even then, the bad guys will find a way to take the guns away from the law-abiding citizens who do have them because the laws have changed PREVENTING citizens from even using their guns in defense of life or property by having the right to have handguns in their homes. That's what the major jist is about in the DC law that is being argued in the Supreme Court. If that is upheld, there will be hell and it won't be from the bad guys ... it'll be from the law-abiding citizens who firmly believe in the 2nd Amendment. I just don't see the Supreme Court upholding such a frivolous law. They will dismiss it and thus uphold the Second Amendment's position and that says just this:
The Second Amendment says, "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

If you make guns illegal only the criminals will have the guns because they already do things that are illegal so whats another illegal act to them?

Exactly, gun control only stops the good, law abiding citizens from having something to defend themselves with. The psychos, robbers, rapers and murderers are still gonna be packing...

Anyone else ever notice how all of the bad shooting sprees occur in gun free zones?

I wonder why no one ever tries to shoot up a gun show...

My point exactly ... No bad guy is gonna risk his ass if he thinks that his victim might be packing ... they are all cowards anyways, praying off the weak and unsuspecting ... boy, someday I would just love to have some crazed idiot try to f*ck with me, ... he'll get an awakening like he never thought of .... can you say hello to my little friend? http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/3239/dsc02508e22a327hr4.jpgI just got this nice little beauty not long ago ... a 4" Ruger .45 Colt Redhawk for bear protection when I go hunting ... it's light, but beefy and can take down most anything that walks ... the poor ole idiot that even so much as thinks he's gonna mess with me or my wife, is in for ONE BIG SURPRISE! :p

Boooo. Smith & Wesson DA's > Ruger DA's. I'm eyeing the S&W 625 Mountain Gun (also 4" stainless, chambered in .45 LC). I don't need it, like those of you who wander bear country, I just want it :).
