$500 theoretically to spend on any cooling solution. It would have to be something of generally practical use 24/7.

Swiftech Apogee GTX CPU waterblock - US$75 (http://www.xoxide.com/swiftech-apogee-gtx-waterblock.html)
Swiftech MCW60 GPU Waterblocks - US$47 (http://www.xoxide.com/swiftech-mcw60-vga-water-block.html)
Swiftech MCRES-Micro Hi-Flo Reservoir (SFF) - 3/8 & 1/2in - US$20 (http://www.xoxide.com/swiftech-mcres-micro.html)
Eheim 1250 Pumps - US$83 ($82.99)

These three items will cost you circa US$225

The rest of the money, you could buy :

Go and hunt for a Custom- 360MM X 120 MM Radiator, they're cheaper and better than most 'overpriced' radiator for PC.

Eheim pumps, now that's one devices you shouln't skip. Its very silent, and i had no regrets spending extra dough on Eheim pumps!

I'd get the DTEK Fuzion over the Apogee GTX. Unless your getting the GTX with a copper top, which costs way more and still doesn't perform as well.

For your GPU(s), might as well get full cover blocks from EK since you have the money.

Radiator wise, maybe get a Thermochill? 120.3 should be plenty with some 120x38mm fans. Scythe Ultra Kaze comes to mind.

what do you want this system to do? you want it to be usable 24/7? well any air/water/phase will be able to do that

What components do you want it to cool?

although so far, it seems water cooling fits your budget well ;) if only water cooling stuff was sensibly priced in the UK

I too would suggest the DTek Fuzion for the water block. Mine has been working great for me.

The Radiator decision should be made depending on how quiet you want the system. The Thermochill radiators are the best radiators available with slow CFM fans. Once you get up to around 65CFM per fan, Thermalchill and the GTX Xtreme series are pretty much even. Above 65CFM the GTX Xtreme series pulls away from Thermalchill's radiators. My current setup as 90CFM fans (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835129245) that I consider to be pretty quiet given the amount of air they push, so the Black Ice radiators are the obvious choice.

Well since the boss has given the thumbs up on the watercooling ... I have been ravaging the Internets in search of the best of the best ... Avid ... it seems that what you have suggested is right on!!

Dtek FuZion Extreme Perf (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/fuexpecpubl.html) $59.95
HL Black Ice GTX480 Radiator (http://www.svc.com/rad-3440.html) $149.95
Swiftech MCP655-B Pump (http://www.svc.com/mcp655-b.html) $79.95

I would then assume that tubing, reservoir, and other misc hardware, including chipset cooler, VGA water blocks would be of personal preference.

I would get this Danger Den MPC-X38 (http://www.dangerden.com/store/product.php?productid=331&cat=46&bestseller=Y) chipset waterblock $42.95... the X38 and X48 chipset are of the same size.

I still have to figure out how to make a platform for the radiator to sit outside my window ... gotta take advantage of my natural "cooling" environment ... :p:D

Edit: I have now looked at the Eheim HPPS i-12V DC Industrial pump (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/ehhpi12vdcin.html) $119.95 and would get that over the Swiftech ... I go for the best of the best ... :D

That shall be interesting to see when you get it done...

Sounds like you would have condensation issues.

No, none at all ... at least not in the computer ... I'll treat it just like an automotive radiator for Alaska ... no condensation issues here ... :D

haha, I'm not getting a $500 cooling solution unless big brother decides i'm good enough in his graces to give me some of that loot he's tossing around:D just wanted to see what the suggestions would be and how you would justify the cost. For me it would be accoustics. For that cost anyone should be able to put together a decent water cooling setup with silence in mind and still the ability to overclock to the limits of the components.

your score in the 3Dmark standings says you have an 8800gt...i think someone's telling you somethin ;)

uhm...everyone else can see omga14, too....right?

lol, his score in the standings says it's an 8800gt, but it's not...

I'd basically go or the Fusion block, a 120.3 Thermochill rad and a Laing D5 Vario pump (comes with 5 speed settings) and get two loops.. One for the CPU and one for the GPU/s and north/south bridges..

Its what I'm aiming to do, its just a case of when and how much money I can save!! :)
