Project Stalker

Hey every one ... I just started a new project here and thought you all might be interested in seeing the progress as I work on it. So here is what I am doing. I decided to build a case from ground up out of fiberglass.

It will be mirror finish black with 4 120mm green led fans and one 15" green cold cathode. and no windows ... I will let you all guess at where the 15" CC is going ;) .. just because I am mean like that. lol

so here is some pictures of the mold I am working on for it at the moment. it will be covered in plaster to smooth it out and get completely flat surface as we all know how black shows everything :)

let me know what you all think and I will have more picture to come over the next few weeks or maybe even the month. I am not sure how long its going to take me to complete this with work and all.

This is going to be awesome! I've always wanted to do one of these out of carbon fiber but they cost always stopped me.

ok, just to let you all know .... bondo melts blue foam :p lol ... so I am going to the next best thing. paper mache, yes kiddies .... I am taking it back to grade school on this project :p lol .... should have some new pictures with in the next few days for you all :)

lol..it just dawned on me when you apply the hardener to the plastic filler it causes a chemical reaction.

Notice after it has hardened, take a piece in your palm and squeeze. It gets hot.

yeah I should have thought of that ... i have used bondo tons of times before. oh well .... I think the paper mache will work better anyways ... especially when it comes to sanding it down ... it will be easier then bondo.

not to good ... going to have to scrap this whole thing here and do a more traditional 2 piece mold. ... hopefully I will get to work on that some tomorrow.

Make a bigger one since its going to be in 2 pieces.

Big enough for 3 120mm fans and (6) 5.25 bays

ok ... the case is being put on hold for a while ... I just scored a free golf cart lol. Will post some pictures tomorrow when I pick it up :)

one of these days I will finish the case I have been planning on doing for I dont know how many years now :p

you better believe I am! :D

first think I will most likely do to it is paint it all black ;) ... then I am thinking about replacing the 12:1 gear set with a 8:1 gear set for more speed ... after that I am not sure where I will go from there. it all depends on the overall condition of the cart.

a buddy of mine has a gas one with 14" of lift, 28 inch tires, and a snow mobile motor in it. he has gotten it up to 86mph according to his GPS. but he let off the gas because it got a little hairy ;)

LOL ... no I dont think so ... I am more of a beat the hell out of the cart type job ... you know ... dirt mounds, ramps, stairs .... stuff like that :p

Be sure and get some of the cart laying on top of ya when you make that bad left turn or jump.:scared:
