Alright guys. Feel free to thread jack, change topic, say whatever you want. JUST KEEP IT CLEAN AND FRIENDLY.

So lets get this going!

To start it off I pick up where I left off. Did anyone else experience a handicap because of your age? Maybe you are older now and are feeling a handicap placed on you because people assume you can't do what you used to?

I for one constantly have to fight for my opinions in my career or personal life because I am not taken seriously because of my age.

As much as I hate to say this Luke ... respect will come with time ... though that is only part of the dilemma that you are constantly being undermined with. Some people will never give you the respect you feel you deserve ... and it's the shyts. To those that can't see your true value and worth, tell 'em to eat your shorts!! :p

I will say that as I have matured, (a better term for getting older ;)) I have a few more physical problems than when I was young ... muscles don't move as well, eyes seem to need help, I suffer from CRS from time to time ... and I don't sleep as soundly like I used to ... but overall, I still do things that I have always done ... I still hunt and fish ... I build things in the summer, I can still get the ole high hard one and give the misses a ride ... :D Yep, if it wern't fer that ole doggy-style, give her a ride in the morning thrill, I'd be wondering if I was getting on in age ... :woot:

I am fortunate in that I have really never had an issue with age until Comixion told everyone in here my age!!! http://pasthelp1.esmartweb.com/pissed.x

I dont know about Americans and europeans, but in Asia we have deep and profound respect towards older people.

Wisdom, they say, came with age :p

http://i1.trekearth.com/photos/474/wisdom.jpg
I'll probably listen to anything this older man said ;)

Sometime I'll argue with older people but due to respect normally i'll backed up before they started throwing tantrums fit
Cause' later we'll also get older, and i know that when i'm old, i wont be happy if some young people came and start questioning or scrutinizing my 'wisdom'

Anyway nataku, how old are you? If you're worried about privacy then just tell me your age range

I've got a little black book with my poems in.
Got a bag with a toothbrush and a comb in.
When I'm a good dog, they sometimes throw me a bone in.

I got elastic bands keepin my shoes on.
Got those swollen hand blues.
Got thirteen channels of s**t on the T.V. to choose from.
I've got electric light.
And I've got second sight.
And amazing powers of observation.
And that is how I know
When I try to get through
On the telephone to you
There'll be nobody home.

I've got the obligatory Hendrix perm.
And the inevitable pinhole burns
All down the front of my favorite satin shirt.
I've got nicotine stains on my fingers.
I've got a silver spoon on a chain.
I've got a grand piano to prop up my mortal remains.

I've got wild staring eyes.
And I've got a strong urge to fly.
But I got nowhere to fly to.
Ooooh, Babe when I pick up the phone

There's still nobody home.

I've got a pair of Gohills boots
and I got fading roots.

We got a new entertainment center, and the ambient temperature inside the HTPC compartment was 100 degrees F (with the door shut). I installed a 120mm PC fan in the back of the cabinet and it brought the temps down to 80 F.

I'm going to install another in the portion that houses my receiver, it's a little toasty in there, too.

Sony XBR5 is going to be mine later this year. Either that or a Sammy LNT, haven't decided yet. Kinda depends on how much the wife makes me spend on her car.

I'm 20, and I dress like a punk kid. Baggy jeans, shirt. Baseball cap and a hoodie. I don't expect respect. That and buying a crotch rocket, yeah I didn't expect much after that. I have the tendancy to speed... excessivly. I still live at home and don't plan on moving out any time soon unless I won the lottery or had a great job handed to me.

I work for Safeway. We recently had a vote. 99% in favour of strike! I don't like my job. I dread getting paid a couple bucks more because it's one more reason I have to stay there. I spend probably $200 a month on Starbucks and other food. Sunday I had a seizure at work. Ended up in the hospital. Don't remember a few hours of that day. And I was quite surprized at how many people were asking how I was doing today on my first day back.

I guess my reasoning is I was raised to be seen and not heard. I had no voice growing up. Now that I'm coming of age I want to be heard dagnammit!

I've strived to be as intelligent of a person that I can be, and I feel that I have achieved this. So it bothers me when I don't even have the chance to prove myself intelligent because people have already written me off.

Am I taking this to seriously?

Oh and Zef, I'll be 23 in a couple of months.

You should never doubt your own self worth or what you have achieved. As a matter of fact, you are in a far better position in life now than when I was your age ... 22 soon to be 23, with a head for business and graphic arts, internet business, web skills, technology guru, ... Hell Luke, you have the makings of one fine entrepreneur, with a level head on your shoulders, ... you are far more advanced than most young men your age!

You know that your time will come ... probably the ones that haven't given you the respect or time of day is that they are jealous of your advanced state of mind ... plus it doesn't help to have such a baby face either ... :p

Keep on hanging in there and doing what you love to do ... if they don't like it, well, you know the saying ... F**K em if they can't live with it! You got my vote for being a top-level business man and more to come ... :D

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree :
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea.
So twice five miles of fertile ground
With walls and towers were girdled round :
And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,
Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree ;
And here were forests ancient as the hills,
Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.

But oh ! that deep romantic chasm which slanted
Down the green hill athwart a cedarn cover !
A savage place ! as holy and enchanted
As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted
By woman wailing for her demon-lover !
And from this chasm, with ceaseless turmoil seething,
As if this earth in fast thick pants were breathing,
A mighty fountain momently was forced :
Amid whose swift half-intermitted burst
Huge fragments vaulted like rebounding hail,
Or chaffy grain beneath the thresher's flail :
And 'mid these dancing rocks at once and ever
It flung up momently the sacred river.
Five miles meandering with a mazy motion
Through wood and dale the sacred river ran,
Then reached the caverns measureless to man,
And sank in tumult to a lifeless ocean :
And 'mid this tumult Kubla heard from far
Ancestral voices prophesying war !
The shadow of the dome of pleasure
Floated midway on the waves ;
Where was heard the mingled measure
From the fountain and the caves.
It was a miracle of rare device,
A sunny pleasure-dome with caves of ice !
A damsel with a dulcimer
In a vision once I saw :
It was an Abyssinian maid,
And on her dulcimer she played,
Singing of Mount Abora.
Could I revive within me
Her symphony and song,
To such a deep delight 'twould win me,
That with music loud and long,
I would build that dome in air,
That sunny dome ! those caves of ice !
And all who heard should see them there,
And all should cry, Beware ! Beware !
His flashing eyes, his floating hair !
Weave a circle round him thrice,
And close your eyes with holy dread,
For he on honey-dew hath fed,
And drunk the milk of Paradise.

Take a year off. Once you get out of high school you should be able to get a job pretty easily at any company. To give you an example, last year there was this company I worked at that trained you and paid you for it, but it also involved a contract. The job was mainly a tech support type for multiple companies.

Get one of those jobs or something along those lines, and spend your time figuring out what to do with your life. College isn't that expensive, and you should be able to do most of the basic classes at a very affordable community college, and do all your major courses at a University. Just make sure the courses transfer over before you take them.

I can see why you have to pay for it. Try getting a dentist on the nhs in this country. There is a 6 week waiting list to be seen. There is an emergency centre but they will only remove the pain, and not provide treatment! There is private health care over here called Bupa, but that is seriously expensive!

There's a difference between an audiophile and an audio enthusiast.

The simple test is this: do you spend as much time deciding what kind of speaker cables to use as you do deciding what kind of speakers to purchase? If the answer is yes, then you're an audiophool.

Then that would make me an audio enthusiast. I care about the quality of the encoding of my MP3s, The quality of my speakers. But the cables don't make a difference unless I'm getting massive amounts of interference. Even then it might not be the cables.

Quit your crying!! I am already paying $4 a gallon here in Alaska!! My wife and I have to go to town (Anchorage or Fairbanks) at least once a month and it costs us at least $250 in gas now ... :curse:

The only upside of this is that sooner rather than later, there will be an uprising of the masses to protest this ... I hope you're listening Hillary, Obama, and McCain!!! One of you had better come up with a plan to reduce these gas prices or there will be another revolution !!! :fighty:

Nobody wants to allow drilling in ANWR, nobody wants to allow drilling off the coast of Cali, and not many U.S. refiners are set up to handle the Canadian tar sands, so it's going to be pricey for a while.

Further, sweet crude is in short supply and high demand, and sour crude is not cheap to refine, so the price is still going to get higher.

Put all of that into a bowl, add a dash of further EPA mandates to force refiners to make gasoline & diesel cleaner, and you get nice steaming bowl of expensive prices at the pump with no hint of declining. Mmmmm....

We (The US of A) couldn't if we wanted to, take the oil back to the States ... That it'll never happen ... because then, EVERY Tom, Dick and Iraqi would be gunning for us ... it's their oil and right now the Iraqi Government is working out how to share the oil wealth with ALL Iraqis ... pretty much like what Alaska has now ... the Permanent Dividend Fund.
It's a savings account that pays ALL Alaskans a dividend from the earnings of the principal in income producing investments ... The Iraqis have shown interest in exactly the same type of program ... it has been highly successful here in Alaska for over 26 years ... ;)

Besides, how are we going to get the oil back here if we have no troops there? Hillary would have no such part in something like that ... :D

I used to race motocross from age 15 through 28 ... 13 years of wild-ass riding and fun, along with crazy shyt and lots of bang ups ... :- Now at the age of 53, those bang-ups have taken their toil on me ... :(

I have a bad left knee that bends only 90 degrees, a right shoulder that sounds like rice crispies and internal organs that have been rearranged ... :p

Road bikes SEEM to be benevolent, but they can actually KILL quicker than dirt bikes ... I tried my hand at road racing ...back in 1979, at Sears point in Sonoma, CA ... a tricked-out Honda 750 I was on went wildly out of control down the straightaway, and I got off at over 100 mph! I thought for sure I was dead, but as luck would have it, I just lost a lot of skin on my backside and arms as I slid to a stop ... if I had high-sided, that would have been the end, I'm sure! Thank God for thick leathers back in those days!

I'll stick to four wheels, thank-you ... ;)

Sure, this is the pic of a shopping complex, Mid-Valley Megamall (http://www.midvalley.com.my/). More info at WIKIPEDIA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid_Valley_Megamall).

It had 430 shops.... and it still aint the biggest. I'll take a photo of shopping complex near my resident - the biggest in northern region of my country :p

I Am Legend is the best film ive seen in a very very very long time.It seems as though movie producers have ran out of ideas. Almost every film ive rented has been shyte.

I Am Legend is sh1t compared to the real story. I remember reading about someone complaining that the story is a terrible reproduction of the book and the story itself is crap compared to what he described it. Here's the quote of what he said.

The original short story's ending is much better because it ACTUALLY ****ING EXPLAINS WHAT THE TITLE "I AM LEGEND" MEANS.

For those of you who would like the spoiler synopsis (poorly remembered on my part because it was a long time ago since I read the story):

The protagonist was just a regular guy who was somehow immune to the virus. After burying and (re-burying) his vampire wife and child, he starts to learn about the virus from books and is eventually able to identify it in the blood using a microscope.

After a whole bunch of tension filled day-to-day scraping by in a post-apocalyptic future filled with vampire humans held at bay by garlic he strings up every few days (and stakes he drives into their anerobic hearts)... including a poignant scene with a dog who eventually dies... he is out (during the day) and spies another non-infected human. A woman. He chases her down and brings her home. She is understandably hysterical, so he locks her in a room.

After explaining to her that he isn't going to hurt her, they reluctantly begin a conversation/platonic relationship over the next couple of days which ultimately leads to him explaining how he is immune, probably because he got bit by a vampire bat in Panama when he was stationed there, and how he can identify the virus now by looking at the blood.

He asks to check hers.

She declines, but then gives in and as he is checking he notices that she is, in fact, a vampire. As he looks up from his microscope, he is knocked unconscious by her. Clutching at her leg, he notices that she is wearing body makeup (sunblock) before blackness envelops him.

She leaves him a note saying basically "look, we have found a way to keep the virus at bay using ************************s, so there are 2 kinds of vampires now, ones who are fully dead and animated only by the virus, and those that are still alive and living with the virus held at bay... the still living and sentient vampires are trying to re-establish society and your constant, indiscriminate killing of both living and dead vampires has not gone unnoticed. Take to the hills or pay the price."

He decides, **** it, I am the last non-infected human, where the hell am I going to go? If they want me, come and get me.

So one night, eventually they do. And he realizes, ironically, that in the civilization that is arising from the ashes of humanity... as the last day-walking human, who preys upon the vampire-kind while they sleep (with stakes through the heart and gunfire) HE has become the feared nightmare of legend.

In my frustration I decide to see if he put my package at the office to my complex. Sure enough, it's there!

He went straight to the office, didn't leave a note or come to my door period... If I hadn't seen him, I would have never known there was a package for me.

But on a plus note i have my 8800GT now :) I'll start a thread for it later and post benches after I quit working for the day.

I have also heard though that the books ending is better.I've never liked reading a book AFTER I've seen the movie ... because you're always comparing the book to the movie ... and for some strange reason, you always try to second guess the outcome before the actual ending (of the book).

The first time that happened to me was when I read the book "Jaws" after I saw the movie ... I LIKED the book better than the movie, but just couldn't help but visualize Roy Scheider and Richard Dreyfuss the whole time while reading the book. Another thing is that when you read a book BEFORE you go see the movie, you're almost ALWAYS disappointed because the movie is never like the book, or they (the screenwriter and director) take so much liberty with their interpretation, it turns out to be nothing like the book. :(

NOO dont do that! The bolt can expand.
We dont wanna replace a crank shaft do we?

problem fix. The problem was that we could not take out the bolt that holds the pulley. Then Dad came home, and we used his gun. That thing weights a ton and is huge. That little bolt did not know what hit it.:) It was easier than taking candy from a baby. Long story short, when changing the head gasket, don't drop anything like a metal clip in the timing belt area, because it will get lodged between the belt and gear, and you would have to take out the belt cover, which you have to take out the crank pulley, which is a pain in the rear. Now we got to wait another weekend for the a new timing belt to come from HONDA.:(

I got written up yesterday. For "failure to work scheduled shift" That was because I was like 10 minutes late. Went for a 45 min. 15 haha. Then took my lunch, and took a last coffee break. And apparently I was "warned" before. I was guilty for sure, but everyone else does it is the part that got me mad. I'd even go for 30 min coffee's with the other managers. So what ever... I guess I still have the young person's attitude of, "If they can do it, so can I."

I took my bike for a walk yesterday. Dealership wanted it gone since it was coming up to a month and it was still sitting there. They took the breather box off and left my throttle bodies exposed. Stator and idle gear cover were off. They did have a rag over that, but they took back the rag, bastards lol. It's been sitting in the rain...

Ordered my parts from fullthrottlemotorsports.com They said the parts wouldn't be back ordered, that was on April 2nd when I placed the order. Apparently it was shipped out on the 8th when I phoned there last week. So I phone again today, on hold forever, disconnected twice. Turns out the parts were back ordered and the order was shipped on the 23rd. Arg! So my rescheduled expected dilivery date is May 1st. They gave me a UPS tracking number today. This is what I got.

Couple of jokes for you:

On a beautiful deserted island in the middle of nowhere, the
following people are stranded:

2 Italian men and 1 Italian woman
2 French men and 1 French woman
2 German men and 1 German woman
2 Greek men and 1 Greek woman
2 English men and 1 English woman
2 Polish men and 1 Polish woman
2 Japanese men and 1 Japanese woman
2 American men and 1 American woman
2 Irish men and 1 Irish woman
2 Australian men and 1 Australian woman
2 Welsh men and 1 Welsh woman

One month later, the following things have occurred:

One Italian man killed the other Italian man for the Italian
woman.

The two French men and the French woman are living happily
together as a threesome and having loads of sex.

The two German men have a strict weekly schedule when they
alternate with the German woman who has twisted some palm fronds
into strands for making ropes and whips.

The two Greek men are sleeping with each other and the Greek
woman is cleaning, cooking and ironing for them.

The two English men are waiting for someone to introduce them to
the English woman.

The Polish men took a long look at the endless shark infested
ocean and then a look at the Polish woman...and started swimming.

The two American men are contemplating the virtues of suicide,
while the American woman keeps on *****ing about her body being
her own, the true nature of feminism, how she can do everything
that they can do, the equal division of household chores, how her
last boyfriend respected her opinion and treated her much nicer
and how her relationship with her mother is improving.

The two Japanese men have faxed Tokyo and are waiting for
instructions.

The two Irish men divided the island into North and South and
have each set up a distillery. They do not remember if sex is an
alternative because it gets sort of foggy after the first few
litres of coconut whiskey.

The two Australian men got drunk and beat each other senseless
fighting over the Australian woman, who in turn, is checking out
all the other men, sure that she can do better than 'Bloody
Australian Wankers!'

Both Welsh men have disregarded the Welsh woman and are searching
the island for sheep.

And:

A Woman was out golfing one
day when she hit the ball into the woods.

She went into the woods to look for it and found a frog in a trap.

The frog said to her, 'If you release me from this trap, I will grant you three
wishes.'

The woman freed the frog, and the frog said, 'Thank you, but I failed to
mention that there was a condition to your wishes.

Whatever you wish for, your husband will get times ten!'

The woman said, 'That's okay.'

For her first wish, she wanted to be the most beautiful woman in the world.

The frog warned her, 'You do realize that this wish will also make your husband
the most handsome man in the world, an Adonis whom women will flock to'.

The woman replied, 'That's okay, because I will be the most beautiful Woman and
he will have eyes only for me.'

So, KAZAM-she's the most beautiful Woman in the world!

For her second wish, she wanted to be the richest woman in the world.

The frog said, 'That will make your husband the richest man in the world. And he
will be ten times richer than you.'

The woman said, 'That's okay, because what's mine is his and what's his is
mine.'

So, KAZAM-she's the richest woman in the world!

The frog then inquired about her third wish, and she answered, 'I'd like a mild
heart attack.'

Moral of the story: Women are clever. Don't mess with them.

Attention female readers : This is the end of the joke for you. Stop here
and continue feeling good.

Male readers :
Please scroll down.

....

....

The man had a heart attack ten times milder than his wife.

Moral of the story : Women are really dumb but think they're really
smart.

Let them continue to think that way and just enjoy the show.

PS: If you are a woman and are still reading this; it only goes to show that
women never listen...now run along and put the kettle on, there's a love.

Harald Seeley said that he could not reveal specific internal figures pertaining to piracy of Crysis,

Piracy is a bull**** excuse for these companies to switch over to consoles. They see console games selling 2 to 3 times more then PC games and they want more money. I have yet to see any company reveal just how many copies it has sold and how many copies were pirated. Secondly I want to see how many copies were pirated in the area where the game was available. If 2 million people pirate crysis in China but its not being sold in China then please shut the f*ck up.

Similar games on consoles sell factors of 4-5 more

More BS from them. Here (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6184847.html) are some figures for games sold on consoles for 2007.

1. Halo 3 - 4.82 million
2. Wii Play w/remote - 4.12 million
3. CoD 4 - 3.04 million
4. Guitar Hero III - 2.72 million
5. Super Mario Galaxy - 2.52 million
6. Pokemon Diamond - 2.48 million
7. Madden NFL 08 - 1.90 million
8. Guitar Hero 2 - 1.89 million
9. Assassin's Creed - 1.87 million
10. Mario Party - 1.82 million

How man copies did COD4 sell on the PC? I'm willing to bet its well over a million and thats not counting online sales. Considering that its the best sold game thats not console only, I don't see the 4-5 times figure.

Oh and I wanted to add one last thing. Last I checked UT3 sold twice as many copies for the PC as it did for the PS3, but the developers are blaming piracy for a sh1tty game and have stated that they will no longer make PC games in the future. It just goes to show that the second a developer makes a bad game (or one that has ultra high requirements) and the game doesn't sell as well, they immediately blame piracy. And I think its just funny how convenient it is to have the shocking piracy figures, but not be able to give them out for some reason.

bit the bullet, and finally ordered some road runner from Time Warner. These sneaky people tried fooling me. I ordered regular rr. and they installed the lite version. Gave them a good talking yesterday.:teeth:

Guess, who finally got the civic up and running. A simple head gasket change ended up being more of a timing belt change. took us about 3 weeks i think.

Ugh... I enjoy the jailbait as much as the next guy, but please keep it unquestionably SFW if you post more (and the ones posted are perfectly SFW, so I'm not complaining). I'd rather not be disciplined/fired over something stupid.

Haha I almost posted that same pic that Nova posted. But I figured that one would be enough. I know a few of you lurk the same part of the net as me.

I thought of two dozen things that meet your criteria before my brain imploded.

I know a few of you lurk the same part of the net as me.
