View Full Version : NEW cpu water block roundup
here is a review of some of the latest CPU block market. they rounded it up and gave it a performance test. the test seems pretty rigorous and specific. a good read for those venturing into water cooling, or looking into switching blocks. if all you care about is performance numbers, skip to the results page.

Good roundup, althrough i must say, waterblocks such as these:

and these :

are 'overdesigned' lol. Should you encounter rust, that waterblocks would prove to be a b*tch to clean the rust off
And i'm actually more suprised to see the minimal differences between the waterblocks. 1-2 degrees at most. This enforced my belief that radiators would be the deciding factor in determining how good the watercooling system disperse the heat.
Funny thing? D-Tek Fusion had the worse-polished surface on that roundup, and yet managed to be the best-performing watercooling blocks :D

Seems like a really dated article but it's not...
They are missing the Swiftech Apogee GTZ, OCZ HydroFlow, D-TEK FuZion v2.
This is the best site for waterblock reviews IMO: http://www.martinsliquidlab.com/
