After going through the hellish ordeal of getting a new hard drive and moving partitions around, I got Vista to boot from the new hard drive. The problem I have stems from the fact that because I had 2 partitions on my original drive, with XP on one (C) and Vista on the other (F), and used Acronis to copy the Vista one onto the new drive and assign that the Default letter (C). So even though the active OS is on the new drive (C), by default it loads all the user data and install paths from the older drive (F), because that's where it was originally installed. How do I get Vista to look in the C drive to find all the data as opposed to F? Or should I simply assign (F) as the letter for my new drive?

As an aside, the original plan was to keep XP on the smaller drive, but because the PC restarted for an unknown reason while Acronis was changing the partition type between active and logical, that partition is showing as corrupted and inaccessible. Is there any way to recover that partition?
