Newegg finally selling this for those who have the version of the S1284 (non-EE) that uses the plastic push pins. Such as myself. I come home every night expecting to find it laying at the bottom of my case.
But it shows 2 types.

My bracket that I got was easy to install ... did you not see my review? This is not a revision ... it's the same ole thing ... :p I think I got mine for $6.49? One thing I did notice was that when I turned it around and re-applied the TIM, this time I used Arctic Silver 5 ... and the temps did go up by 4C ... I suppose there is that time to set in ... but the Noctua stuff I had may be better for that type of heatsink ...

Although I bought the exact cooler, Xigmatek S1284, (the 4 heatpipes) mine had different mounting HW than yours, S1284EE. Hence the "EE".

I saw that the Crossbow bracket was available and went for it. I hate those plastic push-pins ... :curse: But how could the brackets be any different? The screws go through the holes on the mobo ... that can't be any different because they are all the same (LGA 775) What would the difference be? The diameter of the screw-hole in the bracket? That's all I think it could be ...

No screws, no mounting plate.
Here is the one I picked up at Microcenter.
Look Ma, no mounting plate!
