so i traded my laptop to a friend the other day for his desktop. we wiped my linux install off it, and put vista on.
i have vista on it before when i was doing vista support for MS. anyway, the difference here is SP1. but the problem is, the BCD keeps breaking, its done it twice in 2 days now, and it cant boot, so we pop the recovery disc in, let it repair, takes 2 minutes and its back up.
any suggestions on something more permanent here.?

but same issues otherwise. maybe something with sp1 im thinking, newer controller driver maybe f-ing things up?
