I went to check out this gun range in my area (never been to this one). Really really nice gun range. While I was there though I saw they had a really good deal on a used S&W M&P40. This being the gun I've been looking for, I told them if they would let me test fire some rounds I would buy it. They agreed and I purchased the handgun. Came with three different grip sizes, and 2 15 round magazines.

I want to take a moment to thank DoK for all his information! It really help with this purchase.

I know I know... Where are the picts. :)

You americans should be thankful that you could own a gun.

I only owned several japanese sword (katanas), and holy goodness we know how bad katana are at killing zombies. Close range = bad for health

I am very thankful I can own guns. I love taking this thing apart and seeing how it works.

And you can take all my guns away and ban them. As long as I can carry a Katana on my side in public legally. That would be sweet. :)

Psttsss....... smuggle that handguns into my county and i'll give you my katanas

But seriously though, katanas are sold cheaply in my country, and their price is mainly determined by how many 'folds' it had during the forging time. I think this determines it's strength and flexibility when you parry with other sword (it's not like you're going to, lol)

And in the U.S where you have gangsters carrying guns........ we had gangsters carrying katanas and machete. But it's been couple of years passed when the last clan wars (lol) happened here :fighty:

Owh, and these katana are just lovely when you hung it up on the walls.

Yes. Our gangsters used to have a code that they lived by similar to your samurais. However that faded away and now they have no honor at all.

That's a nice piece there. Take care of it, and it will serve your grandchildren well, too.

Range leases are a good way to get good deals.

It looks really good for a range lease. I only see this side of the weapon, but it looks to a little better than 90% condition. It says stainless on the slide, but it looks parkerized. Is that just an anomaly from the picture, or what?

What am I looking for to tell if it is?

Stainless steel looks like stainless - just like blades on stainless steel kitchen knives - and Parkerized would be about the same color as the polymer on the gun. I've just never seen one that was both stainless and Parkerized.

The stainless is the same color exactly as the polymer. So I guess it is Parkerized.

Owh, anyway, nataku, you'd learn how to disassemble the gun?

And how's the reliability of this gun? It's tendancy to jam? Muzzle climb?

Have you even fired a shot from this gun yet?

Owh, just to show off some of my Katana's :

I just read this news.

Wanted ‘samurai robber’ shot and arrested

KUALA LUMPUR: A wanted samurai sword-wielding robber was arrested after he was shot by police following a struggle that also left one policeman with head injuries.

The robber, aged 54, who allegedly robbed his victims at sword-point, was spotted behaving suspiciously in a Proton Iswara by three policemen patrolling on motorcycles at Taman Jinjing Baru.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Zakaria Pagan said when they stopped to question the robber he sped off, prompting them to give chase.

“He then crashed into a parked car at Jalan Ambong in Kepong Baru,” ACP Zakaria said, adding that the robber got out of the vehicle and ran into a car accessory shop but could not escape through the backdoor.

As the shop owner and his employee watched, the robber snatched an open can of thinner and splashed it around the shop threatening to set the shop on fire.

ACP Zakaria said when the police persuaded him to surrender, he threw the empty thinner can at them and ripped out a board with nails from a nearby woodwork and lunged it at them.

To save his colleague, who suffered a gash on his head in the melee, another policeman fired two shots at the robber which pierced through his left thigh and upper abdomen.

“He was taken to Selayang Hospital and is in stable condition. We will be charging him under Section 353 of the Penal Code for attacking and using violence on a police officer, among several other charges,” he said.

Police also recovered a set of fake licence plates, three machetes, a long knife, a fake pistol, and a samurai sword hidden in an umbrella.

The katana-wielding criminals are still here. But unless he had the capability to sliced through and deflect bullet, the police can still pwned him :fighty::fighty:

Indeed they are. I had goosebumps when i unsheathed and sheathed that sword. If you see the samurai's way of sheathing their sword, theres a pretty good chance that you'd cut yourself while you maneuver that sword into the sheath :fighty:
