Managed to get myself a lovely chair for sitting in front of the PC with and about 6 or more new games, some for PC and some for my Xbox 360 :D

i dontknow if the 32 LCD Samsung TV counts because we got it early, but it was supposed to be an xmas gift. aside from that, i got a book, the linux bible, i needed something for reference, hopefully it will do the job. the wife got a couple books.

my brother got a bathroom reader, something about facts. one of those facts, i found entertaining was that 46% of americans dont know how long it takes for the earth to circle around the sun.......

I got a Craftsman top/bottom roll around tool chest and a pair of Carhardt fleece-lined work trousers ... and some more water-cooling stuff for the Arctic Breeze Way ... :D

I avoided the poke in the eye with a sharp stick and there was no coal in my stocking ... so all is good.

Funny, I just came back from old folk's house as well (Boss's mom and dad ...) and I got a gift pack of sausage and crackers and cheese; a new fish fillet knife; a long-sleeved shirt and some driving gloves ... the family kind of stuff.

Oh ... and some Blu-Ray movies. Gonna go watch one now. Later gators!! :D

dad in-law got me 30$ at canadian tire, everyone else gave me money, and baby clothes... my brother is more broke than me so we just hugged...my g/f's family did a sercret santa, and her step brother got me a set of used but in good shape goodyear wrangler AT/S 235/75/15...

all in all it was a very nice christmas, 3 dinners, two pre-christmas parties, lots of poker, 4 days off work... 2 paid...g/f's 19th birthday today, we're getting wasted at a karaoke bar with her sister...i'm doing ok, happy holidays everyone!

PC upgrades have to wait till tax return, but i'll probably try some games that have been out for a while at that time also...

lol my mom asked me why I needed a new case so it's no easier for me :p

Finally stepping up to an aluminum case though so it should be exciting. First "expensive" case and I'll have to drill holes through it for my water cooling :scared:

frozen, buddy...you have no idea...her legs are about as hairy mas mine...for a bout a year now (since half way through her pregnancy) she might have shaved 3 times....lol, prolly more than that but it's getting out of hand...this way she can set an hour aside and not have to worry about it for like a month or so...

and damnit those barracudas are expensive...i've never spent more that 20$ on a headset...

I was thinking that maybe you'd sent me those 60" plasma 1080p.

It's time to ditch my old 46" LCD. It seem to shrunk everytime i see it. Damn electronics :curse:

My misses and I are still trying to upgrade our 28" CRT TV :( Heck I'm using my monitor because it gives a better picture than the TV to use my Xbox!! :p At least its in 1080p at the moment :D

But you miss out on the AWESOME 2560x1600 resolution, not to mention your pixel pitch is absolutely horrid. There's also the panel type (IPS preferrably) and ultimately I have no idea what the response time is on those TV's. Not to mention that by "upgrading" to a 42" LCD TV I would be losing 120 vertical pixels or 230400 pixels overall.

I've heard lots of bad things about the bigger 30" panels for the PC's, so I'm going to try and get to a local PC hardware place and have a look at one in person (much like I did with the phase cooling) to test it out..

I saw a projection screen pre HD etc and it was amazing. I do love the way that the screen came down from in the ceiling!! :D It was just amazing, but sadly, I dont think it'll sit well with the misses... Christ, I'm having a hard enough trouble to get her wanting a 50" screen let along an 8 foot thing!! :p
