Jeff, would this be useful for your arctic weather cooling system you are building?

I would definitely consider it .... but after reading a bit about aluminum and corrosion associated with it while cooling other materials ... well, I would be a bit leery. But it does lend itself well to what I have been trying to achieve. It's worth looking into, that's for sure. :thumb:

Better off using a car radiator if you want to go that route. Might even be able to find a brass/copper one as well.

Which brings me to ask a question about anodizing aluminum ... if aluminum is anodized, does that not stop corrosion all together? I would suppose it depends on how well the anodizing was to begin with, right? I guess I have had a scare put into me about my XSPC 500ml reservoir. It is anodized (black) and it looks like it's a good job. It's inside and out, so I am assuming it will take a while for it to degrade, if it will, right? Years ago when I raced motorcycles, I had anodized wheels and they never corroded ... so I can bet that this reservoir wouldn't corrode any where near as fast as say a wheel exposed to the elements, right?

Jezz. What else did you do? Seems like you've done a little of everything.

Not going to have a mid-post crisis are you? Go out and buy some silly sports computer or anything?

No idea if anodized aluminum helps or not. I doubt any of Zalmans rads are anodized internally.

I agree with jdrom, you might as well get a car radiator if you wanted radiator that big.

I bought one for, what, around US$60? Cut them into half........ and got myself a cheap cooling solution :p

The Zalman RESERATOR 2 has been out for a while now. Pretty decent system. Not exactly what most of us look for. It's good, but not great. Better application for it would be for a HTPC.

When you've been around as long as AK, you've done just about everything :p
