So ive been using win7 x64 beta since the official release a while ago, and since last week after a BSOD ive encountered a new problem. While booting up, my pc "freezes" on the boot screen right before the "welcome" screen in windows for about 5 minutes, and then continues to boot up like nothing has happened. I thought it was a corrupted install so i did a fresh one this morning, but that problem continues.
Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

During the boot process Windows recognizes hardware and loads drivers. Check to make sure you have the latest Win7 beta drivers installed for your hardware.
You can also try booting w/o any hardware that isn't required. Remove everything except what is needed to boot. Only boot with a keyboard. Unplug any NIC/Cat5 cables.

better yet, unplug anything from teh usb ports that isnt keyboard or mouse, printerse, usb drives, scanner, webcam, whatever. i would start there before ripping stuff out of the computer, since its more likely something thats been added externally since it win7 has been on there thats causing it
i had my external hard drive hang my startup the other day, took me a few tries to figure out it, i thought it was something worse, ended up something dumb, so start with the basics, dont work backwards
