I'm not even sure wtf is up with them but for the past year, every few months I've been having my modem blocked. It's weird because I don't usually download that much, probably 40 gigs a month. It's also random like sometimes I can download 200 gigs after a fresh format and nobody looks at me twice, today I was just surfing the net as usual and bam, modem is locked.

After calling them they told me my modem was "blocked" but they just reset it like they usually do. I seriously can't understand the point of this and I wish they dint have a monopoly.

man that sucks!! you should just tell them "hey im done w these interrupts, either stop randomly blocking me and note my account or im going to AT&T"
every time i have mentioned one of their MAIN competitors they have always hooked me up, which has only been once.

When I had charter they would put a 20Kbps Cap on my modem when I would use p2p... and I wasn't doing anything illegal! Blizzard uses p2p for all their downloads.

They are all a bunch of *****es and hoes.

Cut down on the pR0n. It worked for me. ;)

Stop complaining, and if your ISP suck, unsubscribe them and went with the competition who offers better deals/product.

Lots of people complain about their ISP yet they're still with them. Part of the reason is that they think twice before disconnecting their current ISP, for fear that the next ISP might be worse than the old ones :p

There is no competing cable services. If you don't like the Cable provider you must switch to DSL which is a lesser product.

There are no other cable providers in my area.

Haven't found any DSL providers either and FIOS is a long way away. I'm stuck with these f*ckers or it's back to dialup.

Dude, stick with the f*ckers IMO. Dial-up is a serious sin. I hope to never experience it again.

Majority of ISPs do this now. I'm capped at 30KB/s up/down during "peak" hours. There is no definition of these hours though so its seemingly random.

You're lucky if you have a choice. I'm in the same boat as others, either DSL (controlled by Bell) or Cable (controlled by Rogers). Both equally shyt. Rogers = 100GB cap (on their $100/month service). At least there's Bell resellers that offer more bandwidth for less money then Bell. I have a 200GB cap and pay like $50/month for 5Mbps/800Kbps. Shytty I know, but it's the best I can get with a decent amount of bandwidth.
