Help me out here with this one guys. I want to run XP Pro on my rig which has Vista Ultimate X64. What's the best, or should I say, more feasable route to take. I don't really want it on my existing HD if not necessary. I plan to install another HDD.
This all is mainly to run all my older games.
I won't be using it alot so I'm just going to slap in a small HDD, enought to hold the OS and a few games.

If you're putting it on another drive, I'd unplug your Vista drive, plug in the XP drive, install XP and such. Once that's all done, then plug back in your Vista drive and you can either use the BIOS Boot Menu thingy to pick between hard drives at boot or you could use like EasyBCD and modify Vista's bootloader to include XP.

Gotcha.
Gracias!
Rule of thumb: it's normally OK to install a newer version of Winblows on a system with an == or older version of Winblows. Otherwise it fks up the bootloader and stuff and you have to sort it out manually. When doing things the other way round (as in your case), best to yank the other HDD as jdrom says.
edit: However, feel free to install Linux at any stage - GRUB and LILO bootloaders can recognise Winblows installations just fine :)
