I finally got the all-clear from the wife to buy a .50 Beowulf. Everywhere that I've found selling it online is backordered for a minimum of 6 months.

This is ridiculous. Demand hasn't been this high since the early 90s. The street prices on my own arsenal have increased in value nearly threefold since last November. I can hardly buy ammo for my existing toys let alone buy new toys for a decent price!

At least this shortage will keep the gun manufacturers fat, dumb, and happy.

For fun, go to budsgunshop.com and search for semi-auto rifles. Look how many are out of stock. :rolleyes:

You can buy your ammo from me since you won't find it anywhere else for any kind of decent price. $15/50 rounds of .45s, $10/20 rounds .308s, $0.50/rd for .44 magnums (you won't use many), and $20/50 rounds .44 spl.

I should get my licence... I wouldn't mind owning a few. Been quite a few gang shootings around here. That and then I could buy that sign that says, "We don't dial 911" And it has a picture of a revolver pointed at you.

I'd like to get the free-float forend, but at this point, it's kinda hard to be picky. I'll take what I can get, and if I don't like, I'll mod it later.

I'm going to hold off on ordering it for a while. I don't know if I really want to wait at least 6 months, maybe longer, for the thing to come in.
