Since I installed my new Video card (HD 5750), if I maximize any video on the web, youtube, flash, whatever, firefox crashes.
I looked around and most people say it's due to an old version of flash, but this started as soon as I installed the new drivers and the new card so it has to be that.
Is there an option in the ATI control panel that says ''don't crash when I maximize vids'' ?

Have you updated Flash? I really can't see it being the video card to be honest.
Also, running the latest Firefox 3.5.5?

I'm having issues also with BOTH IE8 and Firefox.
IE8 not playing videos...period., Firefox not playin flash etc. It's really annoying

Nah,
Flash is up to date, firefox is set to automatic updates. As I said, I never had this problem until I installed my new video card.
And HERE is the problem.
Since ATI is managed by a bunch of clowns, there is currently NO support for the ATI HD 5750. Of ALL their cards, THIS is the one they don't care about. They offer driver support for any HD 4XXX AND the 5850, but not the 5750.
I'm using the drivers that came on the installation CD (catalyst 8.?) since 9.10 doesnt support 5750 (it supports the 5850 though...). Apparently the 9.11 work with it but those are still in beta so I'm reluctant to try them out.

Didn't know that about the drivers. I figured 9.10 had support for the HD5700 series.
Well 9.11 final will be out either this week or next week, so you don't have much more waiting to do...

Cool, its frustrating right now. I watch streaming episodes of whatever and I can't maximize it. In youtube it crashes, in megaupload my computer freezes completly and in other players the video freezes but the sound keeps going until I minimize.
Where is 9.11 being advertized?

It's funny how I have to reboot for IE8 to play videos in Youtube or anywhere for that matter.
Firefox is shaky but better.

I'm just going by ATI's typical release schedule. Usually the 2nd last or last week of the month drivers come out.

Might want to give this beta version of Flash a go:

And right on time, Catalyst 9.11:
