    Default piFast...

    Hey guys... You ever run piFast? It's actually a pretty good quick benchmark of a system's number crunching abilities...

    Download and expand the zip file then run the batch file inside and it'll do the rest. Take a screen shot and let us know what you score... If you don't have anywhere to host the pictures, simply send me an e-mail and I'll gladly host it for you.

    I guess I'll start, this is what I get...



    Oh you AMD people will be happy to hear it's pretty neutral, it's not pro AMD or Intel.

    Another thing that is interesting but crappy in the DFI bios I have 2.0v selected but as you see it only post 1.95. tonight I am going to take my stick of DDR433 and try and raise the FSB some more.

    Haha rithemking, you guys are on AMD... Actually I think you could beat me, an AthlonXP clocked at your speed is very fast in piFast...

    Will increasing the FSB help or does pitest rely on raw speed of the processor?

    Honestly I haven't played with piFast on AMD but I think it depends on raw CPU power.

    Colin or Rithem, do you think i should sell my DFI and get a NF7-S since I see rithem has that nice vcore so maybe I can squeeze some more speed out of my mobile?

    Yeah, that's what I thought. I have been thinking about getting 2 more WD Raptor's. Wouldn't that be cool and a question I have for you rithem: Do you get high CPU Utilization when the RAID'd Raptor's? I get about 5% on it and that's about norm in any onboard RAID setup I have done.

    Juan are you going to get some more hardcore forms of cooling? If not I don't think you should make the switch the DFI voltages for other thigns is better.
