Default I can't delete this image

I downloaded an image using Kazaa, whenever I tried deleting it in Kazaa, Kazaa crashes.
When I try to delete it in Windows Explorer, Explorer crashes. I can't even view this file.
Does anyone know how to get rid of this image/file?

The OS I am running is Windows XP Pro.

Hey Spiderman,

I use Kazaa as well and I found you get allot of crap.
Another thing I found is that every time I run Kazaa it drops a Trojan into
my Content.IE5. You can only find this file once Kazaa is closed down.
Its called 'Kzpop.html'
No... sorry I lied my virus protector just found it then --->
Anyway in regards to your pic file - will it let you view its properties?
Sounds like really hard core porn I mean, sounds like
the file might already be open therefor access is denied.
Suggest bypassing windows startup and then try deleting it.
Or even look in your registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentV ersionRun - Runonce & RunServices
and make sure windows isn't running it on boot up

Well to be honest I have No Idea!

I've had files I couldn't delete before because they were
open on startup but none of them image files
What type of image file is it? (Besides Porn)
You know what I mean -->Whats the Extension (there I go again)

I went into the registry, I found no reference to the file in question.

More info on the file itself:
It was supposed to be a Bitmap. The Extension is .bmp
The filename I am guessing is over 100 + characters long I am guessing 128 (Thats the Maximum Right)? I lost count after 40.
It has from Britney Spears, Pokemon, Limp Bizkit, orgy and some more pornographic words.

With all that list of names its embarrassing to say which one I was actually searching for

And no I can't access its properties.

I'd start from a boot disk and delete the file. Then I'd run a complete system scan for viruses. (they come through KaZaA all the time)

Are you running anti virus software? KaZaA without virus protection is a very bad idea!

I had tried to delete the directory before, it wouldn't let me.

I had problems booting into safe mode so I could try that.

I tried to quarantine the file, but when I selected the file, I got the error saying file not found.

Finally I went into command prompt renaming the file using the first 6 characters (6chars~1.bmp), then I just used the delete command on the new filename.

THANKS ALOT GUYS, FOR ALL YOUR INPUT.

P.S. I believe the long file name, and weird characters was the problem. This was definitely a deliberate act by someone.

As a side note, I have found that if windows is absolutely adament (sp?) about not letting you delete a file, first follow Colin's tutorial on advanced sharing options for Windows XP (can't find the link) then right click on the problem file/folder and go to sharing and add your username to the access list along with SYSTEM and then give yourself full access. Click OK and delete the folder just like that
